Camp Host Role - Ramble Campgrounds
Classification: Seasonal/ Full Time
Location: Mosca, CO or Mancos, CO
Pay Grade: Salary, $500/week + end of the season bonus
Reports to: Director of Customer Experience/ Chief of Staff
Ramble at Great Sand Dunes: May 5th*, 2025 through October 23rd, 2025
Ramble at Mesa Verde starts: April 28th*, 2025 through October 17th, 2025

At Ramble, we combine a love for the outdoors with a deep understanding of technology and customer data analysis, disrupting the traditional “parking lot” style campground industry by creating a better nature-oriented camping experience available to all. Our goal is to ultimately become the largest campground operator in the country.
Overview and Impact:
We are currently conducting interviews for a seasonal Camp Host at both of our campground locations, Ramble at Great Sand Dunes and Ramble at Mesa Verde. We offer highly competitive pay, on-site training, healthcare benefits, end of season bonus, and a beautiful place to call your home for the next 6 months. Our current positions are SEASONAL.
If you have previous camp hosting, hospitality, customer service and maintenance or janitorial experience we want to hear from you. Candidates should be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays and must be able to lift up to 40 pounds with frequent standing, walking, and physical activity. Candidates should have a reliable recreational vehicle to live in during the season. This position will work well for someone looking for seasonal work, enjoys being in nature doing physical activity and being part of a community.
Camp Host Responsibilities:
Daily campsite and campground checks for clean and orderly conditions prior to guest arrival
Responding to customer service tickets through Zendesk (customer service software)
Consult the booking calendar to make sure guests are at the appropriate campsites
Coordinate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to run efficient field processes
Manage onsite inventory and check stock levels
Occasional cleaning as needed
Occasional groundskeeping/maintenance work
Organizing utility sheds
*Operate the Ramble bar cart daily at 5 p.m., offering food and beverages to guests during the hospitality check. (only applicable at the Great Sand Dunes location)
*Take food and beverage orders, process payments using a credit card terminal, and maintain a friendly, positive attitude while interacting with guests. (only applicable at the Great Sand Dunes location)
Other projects and duties as assigned by Ramble Headquarters
Observe all policies and safety procedures set forth by Ramble staff
Be comfortable operating a utility vehicle
Be proficient operating a Mac computer and phone
Participate in pre-season work (setting up the campground for opening season) and winterization (shutting down the campsite for off-season).
Use proper tools and equipment (provided) to safely perform duties.
Be prompt and reliable in reporting for work. Notify Ramble as soon as possible if you are unable to work
Wear the Ramble staff shirt or hat in an appropriate and professional manner.
Maintain a professional campsite appearance.
Time Commitment
Ramble at Great Sand Dunes Field Staff Training 2025: 05/05-10/23
Ramble at Mesa Verde Field Staff Training 2025: 05/09/25-10/17
Scheduled Hours
2pm- 9pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Must be available to be on-call for emergencies ( answer camp host phone for customer service tickets in a timely manner)
Must be able to work Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July and Labor Day Weekend
Qualifications
Must be able to provide professional, welcoming, customer service.
Self-motivated, able to self manage
Good, proactive communication skills with a great attitude
Enjoys being in the outdoors
Able to be alone for extended periods of time
Basic maintenance skills
Ability to operate a utility cart
Proficient with apple products and google suite
Must pass a criminal and driving history background check.

Training, and Preparation:
In-person, online and in-field training is provided by Ramble staff.
Living and working accommodations:
Camp Host will be provided with a campsite to fit a 40 ft RV or trailer that has a water and sewer hookup.
*The Camp Host will also be provided with a separate shelter at the campsite for office space and/or sleeping accommodations. (only applicable at the Great Sand Dunes location)
Camp Host will have access to free starlink wifi while living onsite
Camp Host is provided with any tools/equipment needed to do their job.
