    Information Technology

    System Administrator

    Red River

    Wage depends on experience

    Works to ensure all users receive a timely solution for any issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. 

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    • Assist 3rd party contractor in addressing day to day issues.
    • Prioritize daily duties in order to maintain proper operations.
    • Address user questions, concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
    • Understand software’s user interface.
    • Maintains ticket sales kiosk properly stocked and operational.
    • Trouble shoot connectivity issues at employee housing and other remote locations.
    • Keep inventory of hardware.
    • Integration of hardware and software into network.
    • Maintain network credentials in an Active Directory Environment.
    • Works closely with guest services to find solutions that enhance the guest experience.
    • Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Guest Services Department or Red River Ski & Summer Area as a whole meet required goals or standards.
    • Provide end user technical support company wide.
    • Responsible for overall computer activity.

    Qualifications

    • Must be dependable and punctual with daily scheduling and forecasting.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily activities.
    • Ability to understand and respond quickly to instructions.
    • Demonstrate excellent employee relation skills: ability to be pleasant, courteous and actively friendly with everyone.
    • Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate to end users and management.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
    • Experience with Active Directory, Enterprise Networking a plus.

    Work Environment

    • May be required to stand long periods of time.
    • May be out in the environment during winter months where snow and ice are the norm.
    • Some department functions may require employee to work holidays, evenings, nights and early mornings.

    Education and/or experience

    • High School Graduate or GED, College graduate would be preferred.
    • 2+ years’ experience supporting end user technical issues.

     

    Information Technology

    Desktop Support Technician

    Red River

    The Desktop Support Technician will work with the Ski and Summer area staff to support and troubleshoot Desktop and laptop computers, Applications, Networking, VOIP, Office 365, and any general technology-based problems that occur. This position is a limited opportunity for any individual that has a passion for the outdoors in a mountain environment that provides them access to winter and summer sports while acquiring experience within the IT industry learning the technical aspect of how a resort operates.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide support for hardware and software computing issues
    • Identify staff needs and recommend potential solutions
    • Assist senior staff with daily tasks 
    • Document tasks and new procedures in our ticketing system
    • Setup equipment for staff with proper installation of hardware, cabling, and software
    • Escalation to senior staff where appropriate
    • On-boarding of new users to the domain and primary software suite.
    • User account troubleshooting (password resets, permissions)

    Qualifications

    • Ability to communicate well with a diverse group of people
    • The desire to learn and start a career in the IT industry
    • Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft office suite, Network cables or Wi-Fi
    • Able to Ski/Snowboard or willingness to learn
    • Lift and move 50 pounds

    Work Environment 

    • This position primarily works indoors but also works outdoors in varied weather conditions
    • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High school education
    • Any experience troubleshooting issues or experience with customer service
    Maintenance Shop

    Shop Mechanic

    Red River

              General Purpose for Shop Mechanic

              Repairs maintains and overhauls diesel, and gasoline automobiles, trucks, tractors, snowmobiles, snow grooming                machines and other vehicles by performing the following duties.

           

    • Examines vehicle and discusses with supervisor nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Plans work procedure.
    • Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.
    • Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
    • Overhauls or replaces carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.
    • Rebuilds parts such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks. Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.
    • Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator.
    • Mends damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts.
    • Installs new ignition systems, aligns front wheels, changes or recharges batteries, and replaces transmissions and other parts.
    • Overhauls electric, gas or diesel engines.
    • Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired vehicle to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
    • Visually inspects hydraulic lines and components to detect leaks, damage, and wear.
    • Replaces worn or damaged hydraulic components such as oil lines, fittings, cylinders, servo‑valves, pressure release valves, gaskets, and seals.
    • Performs routine maintenance such as changing filters.

    Other duties and responsibilities

    • Parts washing.
    • Components lubrication.
    • Use of welders and cutting torch.
    • Keep parts, materials and tools organized.
    • May be requested to work extra hours with little or no notice.
    • Keep nice and neat appearance, keep uniform clean and have good personal hygiene.
    • Must be dependable and punctual with daily scheduling.
    • Willingly perform any task outside the normal job parameters that are assigned which may be required to help the Red River Ski Area meet required goals or standards.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrate good guest and employee relation skills: ability to be pleasant, courteous and actively friendly with everyone.
    • Self-directed.
    • Works well as a team to get the job done.
    • Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little or no notice.
    • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    Work Environment

    • Work in extreme weather conditions, standing for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment, snowmobiles and 4-wheel ATV’s.
    • May be required to work holidays and weekends.
    • Lift and/or move heavy weight.

     

    Education and/or experience

    • High School Degree or equivalent
    • Mechanical aptitude
