    Front of House

    Front of House

    Lead Server

    $15.00 / hour + tips

    Oversees all aspects of front of the house service and guest management. Manages service staff including scheduling, ensuring adherence to SOP, discipline and inventory management.

    Skills

    • 1-2 years leading restaurant floor staff
    • 2+ years of server experience in high volume environment
    • Proven preparation that restaurant is ready daily for full service.
    • Ensure serving staff are properly trained and following SOPs.
    • Ensure continuous training of serving staff until proficient in all relevant SOPs.
    • Work as a server during assigned shifts.
    • Maintain knowledge of POS and troubleshooting of POS.
    • Maintain communication with other Operations Manager and Head Chef.
    • Oversee that good communication between the front of the house and back of the house is maintained.
    • Manage serving staff for disciplinary actions, schedule adherence and following SOPs.
    • Manage schedule changes as necessary.
    • Ensure staff clock-in and clock out.

    What you bring to us:

    • Minimum of 1 year of server experience in a restaurant or similar setting.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
    • Team player with a willingness to help others.
    • Knowledge of POS systems preferred.
    • Experience with beer and wine service a plus.


    What you will be doing:

    • Take orders for food and beverages with a smile and ensure accuracy.

    • 1-2 years professional cooking experience, preferably with a focus on breakfast preparation.
    • Strong cooking skills, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of breakfast dishes.

    • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

    • Ability to stay calm and cheerful in a small kitchen while cooking orders promptly.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to all food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Set up and replenish the breakfast buffet for restaurant guests.
    • Prepare room service breakfast orders to guest cabins efficiently and with a smile.
    • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak breakfast hours.

    Dinner Chef

    We seek a passionate and experienced Dinner Chef to run the late lunch/dinner operations in our kitchen. You will be responsible for executing delicious, homestyle lunches and dinners, adding your creative ideas, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in crafting fresh, flavorful meals, we encourage you to join our family!

    Responsibilities:

    • Menu Enhancement and Management: Master and then enhance our roadhouse menu, focusing on homestyle comfort food with creative flair.
    • Collaborative Cost Control and Inventory Management: Oversee, in coordination with management, efficient food ordering and production processes to optimize profitability.
    • Kitchen Leadership: Motivate and coach kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.  
    • Training and Development: Train and mentor preparatory staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety procedures, and equipment operation.
    • Quality Control and Consistency: Ensure consistent dish quality and presentation across all meals and services.
    • Safety and Sanitation: Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen, adhering to all regulations.  
    • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests to answer questions, address concerns, and personalize their dining experience when necessary.
    • Administrative Duties: some duties apply as they relate to inventory work with management.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a similar restaurant or resort setting.
    • Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute creative, well-balanced menus.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
    • Passion for hospitality and fresh, local ingredients with a commitment to the employer's reputation.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Adherence to strict food safety and sanitation practices.

    • Other Duties: As assigned, may include light cleaning tasks in dining areas, assisting with other aspects of the lodge operations, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

You will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay by keeping our kitchen running smoothly and maintaining the grounds and guest cabins.

    • Maintenance:

      • Address guest concerns and handle minor repairs in guest cabins.
      • Assist with landscaping and snow removal in seasonal periods.
    • Other Duties:
      • Assist with trash removal and recycling.
      • Maintain general order and cleanliness throughout the lodge.

Maintain a seamless flow, delivering consistent, high-caliber meals promptly while maintaining a calm and friendly focus. Be the rhythm to the culinary symphony of our small kitchen, fostering a smooth and successful kitchen environment.

    What you bring:

    Professional Skills:

    • 1-2 years of experience as a line cook, pantry cook, or sous chef in a busy kitchen environment.
    • Proficient in POS systems, preferably TOAST, including order entry, payment processing, and inventory management. 
    • Experience with kitchen inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.


    Essential Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to prioritize tasks and solve problems.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Head Chef and other kitchen staff.
    • Ability to maintain a consistently safe and sanitary kitchen environment according to health and safety regulations.
    • Proven ability to perform under pressure and remain calm in high-paced environments.
    • Flexible and willing to assist the front of the house in achieving common goals.
    • Receptive to feedback and able to follow instructions from the Head Chef. Bonus Skills:
    • Knowledge of HACCP principles and sanitation procedures.

    What you do:

    • Assist in ensuring days prep is completed in a manner that does not interfere with rush service
    • Ensure kitchen equipment is ready for days operations
    • Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly
    • Ensuring promptness, freshness, and quality of dishes.
    • Coordinate with all kitchen staff.
    • Implement hygiene policies and examine equipment for cleanliness.
    • Assist in all training of kitchen staff, such as cooks, food preparation workers, and dishwashers using SOPs.
    • Assist in the assigned administrative tasks, taking stock of food and equipment supplies, and doing purchase orders.
    • Obtaining feedback on food and service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints.
       

    Weekly Responsibilities:

    • Participates in weekly meetings with all Lodge staff.
    • Meets with Head Chef 1x per week to focus on improvement/needs of menu, kitchen operations and inventory/menu.
    • Attends the manager meeting when necessary.
       

    For you:

    • $3800 to $4000 (DOE) per month + tips
