WHO ARE WE?  Shore Lodge Whitetail Club is situated on the sandy shores of Payette Lake surrounded by National Forests in the quintessential town of McCall Idaho. Our hotel features 77 guestrooms and our guests enjoy a variety of restaurants and bars as well as an award-winning Spa.  We make memories here, with breathtaking scenery and endless opportunities to explore in the great outdoors, so if you are the adventurist or the sanctuary seeker, this is the place to be.  

HOUSEKEEPING SUMMARY:  First impressions are everything! As a Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award winner, Shore Lodge Whitetail Club, wants our Members and Guests to experience a sparkling hotel every time they walk in. The pride we take in ensuring all areas of the hotel are clean and tidy reflects in our exceptional quality.  

The following is a list of positions you could be working in while in our Housekeeping Department: 

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

HOUSE ATTENDANT:

  • Stock and maintain supply levels of the Housekeeping Inventory closets

  • Remove used linens and trash from guest rooms and restock rooms with clean linens and maintains the cleanliness of hallways.  

  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards. 

  • Notify management concerning property damage or areas in need of repairs.

LAUNDRY ATTENDANT:

  • Sort used linens to be washed and monitor linens for stains and or damage.

  • Dry the linens according to correct temperature settings.

  • Fold and stock the linen shelves with clean linens.

  • Assist house person and or room attendants with linens when needed.

  • Notify management concerning property damage, linen replacement, or areas in need of repairs

PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANT:

  • Maintain and clean all public areas and employee work areas.  Including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing floors and furniture throughout the Shore Lodge, Whitetail, and The Cove.

  • Empty trash in all public areas and clean public area restrooms.

  • Clean all mirrors, inside of windows, wipe and dust all surfaces; keeping all brass and stainless steel shiny.

  • Replenish supplies in the appropriate public areas. 

  • Notify management concerning property damage or areas in need of repairs.

ROOM ATTENDANT:

  • Obtain list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned. 

  • Clean guest rooms to the highest standards. 

  • Make guest beds, dust the rooms and furniture, clean the bathrooms and closets.  

  • Replenish amenities, guestroom, and bath supplies according to the operational standards.

  • Clean guest bathroom/bed room/floor corridor and vacuum the carpet.

  • Check and secure the rooms when completed ensuring security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.

  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.

  • Examine rooms to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and make recommendations to management. 

  • Inventory all furnishings, linens, and room amenities. 

  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.

  • Notify management concerning property damage, linen replacement, or areas in need of repairs.

SPA ATTENDANT:

  • Maintain and clean all Spa areas. Including, but not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing floors and furniture, window cleaning and trash.

  • Remove food and beverage plates, glasses, and trays from the pool area.

  • Replenish towels and supplies in the spa and appropriate public areas as needed. 

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, members, and team members.                                                                                                                      Plan and use time efficiently while seeking to achieve the coveted 4 star level of competency.

  • Notify management concerning property damage, towel replacement or spa areas in need of repair.

TURNDOWN ATTENDANT:

  • Provide turn down service in the evenings, by turning back the bedspread, replenishing amenities, linens, and supplies and filling ice bucket as requested by guest.

  • Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance.

  • Close drapes, tune radio to jazz station, set the lighting for an evening experience

  • Wipe down tub and sink area.

  • Strip and make beds, change linens, and empty trash.

  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms and face them appropriately.                                                                                                      Check and secure the rooms when completed ensuring security of guest rooms and privacy of guests.

ALL POSITIONS:

  • Attend periodic staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons’ complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operations. 

  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality. 

  • Follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. 

  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, club members and fellow employees responding in a timely manner to all requests. 

  • Follow all safety, sanitation and departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
