    Cruise Ship Relations

    Dock Represenative

    Ketchikan

    Work alone representing our company in downtown Ketchikan, Alaska. The Dock Reps job is to meet outside each various cruise ship for our various tour departures. Close communication is required between the Dock Rep and each cruise ships shore excursion staff, the bus company representatives, and with us back at the tour base. This position offers a lot of freedom between our tour departure times. Applicants must be outgoing, friendly, self motivated with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. This job entails standing outside for parts of the day no matter the weather with several breaks inbetween departures. In town housing within walking distance to cruise ships is provided for $300 per month.

    Guides

    Sea Kayak / Zipline Tour Guides

    $15.00 - $16.00 / hour + tips
    Ketchikan

    We do four tours: Tatoosh Islands Sea Kayaking, Eagle Island Sea Kayaking-both single and double kayaks, Zipline Adventure Park, and Alaska Boatman.

    Guides participate in an intensive one-week in-house training for all tours. You should be physically fit and an outdoor enthusiast. We often have many returning guides; a good number of them are locals. We require you to have a current First Aid and CPR certification at a minimum and be 21 or older. 

    You will work 1-3 trips per day back to back and will spend 2-2 ¼ hours with each group of guests. 

    The tour season is from May 1 to mid October. Tours start off slow in May and end slowly in Oct. with peak season being June, July, and August. We are willing to be flexible with your arrival and departure dates but realize the majority of the hours of work will be June-Aug.  We strive to select a core group of enthusiastic guides for the summer season. All employees work together closely as a team and act cordially like one big happy family throughout the season. Guide training is usually the first week of May. Guides are paid for training and according to their skill level, apparent leadership ability, and commitment to the entire season.  We hope that you will become a part of this core group!
