Now hiring for our Winter 2024-25 season, Dec 9, 2024- Mar 23, 2025. 

Staff member benefits include free on-site community-style housing (motel room style, 2-3 occupants per room), an hourly wage and equitable share of the tip pool paid out bi-weekly, one free meal daily, and free and discounted activities. Seasonal and year-round opportunities are available.

Our restaurant offers upscale comfort food and a variety of cocktails, wines, and local craft beers. We seek to be the community gathering place and host many community events, live music, and fundraisers. We are committed to providing our guests with a life-giving experience, from the moment they walk through the door, to the moment they leave. Through hand-crafted dishes, excellent bar service, and genuine hospitality, we seek to create a unique and personal experience for each guest that will make them want to come back again and again. Our style of service is a unique hybrid of counter and table service. All team members should expect to jump in and help wherever needed, from bussing tables to making drinks. All tips (cash and credit) are pooled between front of house staff and distributed on your bi-weekly paycheck.

  • Understands and is willing to undertake the challenges of living and working in communal housing in a remote location. 

What does this job entail?

  • Guest services- create a warm and welcoming environment from the moment someone walks through the door to the moment they leave

  • Take orders at the counter, pour/make drinks, assist with running food, bussing tables, cleaning, side work etc...

  • Interact with guests in the dining room, check on them throughout their meal, refill drinks and bus tables

  • Follow opening and closing task lists to ensure a clean and professional presentation of the bar and dining room areas

  • Demonstrate safe alcohol service, including checking IDs and knowing how and when to cut someone off (all staff are required to take the Colorado ServSafe Alcohol training course. If possible, this should be completed before arrival at the Outpost). 

  • Use Toast POS system effectively

  • Handle cash and credit card transactions

  • Assist with any other tasks or duties, as assigned, including helping other departments if needed (dishwashing, housekeeping etc...)

Required skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • 1+ year bartending experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience working in the restaurant industry

  • High School Graduate/GED equivalency  

  • Valid driver’s license   

  • ServSafe Alcohol certification

  • Ability to work in a standing position for 8-10 hours per day

  • Ability to lift 60lbs (50lbs overhead)

Preferred skills:

  • 2+ years working in the hospitality/restaurant industry

  • 2+ years bartending experience
