POSITION SUMMARY

With the powder comes the shoveling! We are looking for applicants who can ski/snowboard at an intermediate level to/from our Food & Beverage locations on-mountain. Ski/snowboard level is contingent on passing an on-snow assessment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provide snow removal and ice build-up prevention around mountain facilities
Daily set up and breakdown of outdoor furniture
Assist with litter control
Employee will need to provide appropriate snow removal outerwear for inclement weather (i.e. hat, gloves, snow pants, jacket, etc.)
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: Starting at $18.50 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift 50 lbs. frequently with snow removal
Bend and lift heavy snow on days requiring snow removal (shoveling)
Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Remain standing for extended periods of time in one outdoor station
Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the successful applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the Alterra Driver’s Standards Policy that includes possessing a valid Driver's License and meet insurability standard

POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Vacuum, dust, mop Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation’s office buildings
Clean restroom facilities and other designated areas daily
Stock supplies in housekeeping
Empty all trash restroom receptacles
Mop and sanitize all base area restrooms for Gondola Square, Ski Corral locker room, Lower Gondola Building first floor, and the Bear River
Damp wipe/dust recycling receptacles as needed
Clean first floor lunchroom and empty trash daily
Maintain a clean Gondola Plaza area and pick up trash and litter
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Valid Driver's license
Other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY

Guest Safety Coordinator will oversee administering First Aid to guests and assist with the operation of the gondola. Position requires an EMT or OEC Wilderness First Responder certification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Administer first-aid to guests.
Assist with the operation of the Gondola and other company vehicles.
Frequent radio communication with coworkers and occasionally EMS personnel
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Assist with building security and assist other departments in set-up and tear down (tables, chairs etc.)

POSITION SUMMARY

Haymaker Golf Course is looking for a Seasonal Supervisor to guide this long-standing restaurant. One year of previous full service restaurant experience in a supervisory capacity and current Colorado TIPs certification required; ServeSafe training certification, preferred. Resume required

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations
Monitor food quality (taste & appearance) and productivity of kitchen staff
Perform customer public relations
Train and enforce state liquor laws, service standards and health regulations
Assist with monthly inventories
Responsible for employee training, daily pre-shift meetings, evaluations, discipline and scheduling
Responsible for balancing daily receipts
Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must have current Colorado TIPs certification, or be willing to get within 10 days of employment
Must have ServeSafe training certification, or be willing to get within 10 days of employment

Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, leadership and team building skills

POSITION SUMMARY

The new Steamboat Child Care Center is looking for dedicated and flexible substitute teachers to join our new team! Early Childhood Subs will substitute for Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers when they are on vacation, sick, or in case of unplanned absences. Early Childhood Subs will support Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers with the education, supervision, and care of children at the Steamboat Child Care Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Support classroom teachers and assistant teachers
Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment with an emphasis on children’s social-emotional, physical, and cognitive needs
Perform daily child care duties as assigned including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps
Help in other classrooms as needed
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements
Maintain confidentiality
Be prepared to engage children in outdoor activities for long periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather (preschool)
Work cooperatively on a team with other teaching professionals
Provide positive guidance and redirection

The Steamboat Grand, located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area, is looking for full-time housekeepers this summer! Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

Clean floors, vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, wash, strip, wax, buff and shampoo carpets
Wash windows, walls, tables, dust furniture, fixtures and woodwork
Perform some routine inspection of electrical, heating and ventilating equipment
Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals
Strip and make the beds
Use vacuum, mop and full bucket of water, and like equipment to clean
Clean and stock bathrooms- wash tubs, shower walls, countertops, sinks and mirrors
Clean and stock kitchens- clean refrigerator, stove, countertops, cupboards and put dishes away.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.

Enforce alcohol perimeter (into/out of events) while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor

POSITION SUMMARY

Multi-talented persons needed! Rental/retail hybrids will be asked to perform two or more main duties within their assigned shop including cashiering, ski and binding fitting and/or retail sales. POSITION SUMMARY

Baristas needed! Previous cash handling experience required with previous coffee house/restaurant experience preferred. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Open counter-service restaurant facilities and stock up necessary supplies or prepared food for service
Operate point of sales cash register in high volume setting
Secure bank for the day and set up cash register
Maintain high pace while preparing and serving food or beverages in a high volume restaurant

General Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee all phases of outlet operations; understand and ensure compliance with all company policies & procedures and regulatory requirements

Create weekly labor/revenue forecasts
Manage all staff payroll procedures
Maintain all beverage levels and manage ordering
Implement training program of service standards for all FOH servers
Implement training program for all beverage servers
Perform inventory of all alcohol products
Closely monitor guests dining experience
Maintain a strong presence on the floor
Develop and implement creative strategies to increase revenues and average checks
Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards
Develop daily shift meetings and strategies
Closely monitor opening and closing procedures
Hire, train and motivate front of house service team
Inspect buffet for full attractive product and quality
Make table visits to solicit guest feedback & recognize patronage

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Come enjoy a fun summer experience in Steamboat! Christie Peak Express will be running this summer to transport mountain bikers and foot passengers. We are looking for full time Lift Operators. Days worked include 4-5 days per week, 30-40 hours per week with some night operations, including weekend work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Must have positive guest relations and work well with a small crew
Responsible for the daily operation of the lift, pre-operational inspections, loading/unloading of guests and bikes, maintaining the work area, and other jobs assigned
Guest service – greeting, welcoming, and providing information to our guests - verbally, message boards, bike maps, etc.
Efficient and safe operation of the lifts, vehicles in the summer
Appearance at the lift areas - lift houses, ramps, maze, personal appearance, trash removal
Knowledge of lift equipment, ticket gates, and scanners
Inspection of the lifts
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation lift experience preferred
Complete required documentation in an accurate and legible manner
Self-motivated, responsible, and independent with a neatly groomed appearance
