Cabin Cleaner

Looking for a Cabin Cleaner! Must be hardworking, a team player, and able to multitask. You must be able to work and deal with many differing personalities! Lodge employees must have good communication skills and be honest. Staff often have many things to pay attention to at the same time, so organization is a must. Pay based on experience, room and board AND excellent tips! This is a fast paced job, so be ready to move and shake. Work week consists of 6 days on: 1 day off.

We have 5 cabins that sit on our property and rent out throughout our open seasons. You will clean each of the 5 cabins as needed. Everyday is different, so the amount of cabins you will need to clean depends on how many guests we have that day. This is a split shift job. Cabin cleaning commences at 11AM and needs to be finished by 3PM. You will have all 5 cabins to clean some days so you will need to be a diligent, hard worker. The second half of your shift starts at 5PM for dish washing and finishes at roughly 9PM as you help clean the kitchen.

All lodge staff and cabin cleaner share a house. There are individual bedrooms with a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Oftentimes staff hang out in the living room for movie nights. Know that it is the house occupants duty to keep it clean and tidy. There are no animals allowed in the house. Meals are provided through the company everyday.  

Sun Canyon Lodge is a family run business that has a small dedicated staff. It is open Mother's Day Weekend through the end of November. The lodge is open 7 days/week at 7am and the kitchen closes at 8pm. Augusta Montana is the closest town to Sun Canyon Lodge. 

Josh and Niki Carlbom have been the proud purveyors of Sun Canyon Lodge’s various goods and services for the better part of two decades. Josh’s parents, Lee and Sue Carlbom, purchased the establishment in 1983, when Josh was five years old. Niki’s parents, Dan and Shelly Campbell, have been a constant presence for the last twenty years, and an integral part of the Lodge and the community around Sun Canyon. Together now, Josh and Niki operate the bar, restaurant and the outfitting. They have been doing this for sixteen seasons (since 2005), gaining widespread respect for the knowledge of the land and hospitality they provide to their guests.

Sun River Canyon, where our lodge is located, is an eastern gateway to the vast Lewis and Clark Forest and the unique Bob Marshall Wilderness Area. The majestic Rocky Mountains suddenly end the otherwise rolling foothill country of eastern Montana. The high rock walls rise up abruptly in majestic grandeur to welcome those who venture into the last of the true mountain wilderness areas. In your down time, enjoy a swim in Gibson Reservoir, fishing on the Sun River, or a myriad of hikes around the canyon.
