The Parking Department is an outdoor team. It’s also a physical team, remaining on foot or engaged in other physical activities for much of any work day. Appropriate bathroom, snack, warmup breaks, and lunch breaks are of course a must to the team’s long-term function.
Parking Attendant duties can sometimes be completed during slow times just before noon. During peak operations, parking attendant duties may carry on into the late afternoon. Once daily parking attendant operations are complete, part-time attendants are encouraged to clock out and enjoy the on-mountain skiing and riding activities.
The Parking Department and team is a great place to make entry into the world of the Taos Ski Valley. Incorporated and the ski industry. It can be a great potential combination of work and play.
Taos Ski Valley, Incorporated is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during holidays and Peak days. Taos Ski Valley, Incorporated is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Parking attendants remain on foot and moving through parking lots for approximately 90% of their shifts. Snow removal activities include shoveling and brooming snow off of vehicles, shuttles, parking areas, and sidewalks. Parking attendants are each equipped with a Parking Department radio. Training is provided for radio operations. The team generally operates on its own radio channel reducing some of the stress speaking on a radio can produce for some.

Quick Service Attendant

At our on-mountain restaurant, The Whistlestop, Quick Service Attendants are responsible for providing guests with prepared food items, beverages, and general knowledge of the mountain and resort operations. Bell/Valet
