Front Desk, Dock Master, Laundry Attendant, Maintenance Lead

The Harborside Inn is now hiring team members for its 2025 season! These positions are located on Martha's Vineyard.

• Front Desk Agent-all shifts

• Dock Master

• Laundry Attendant

Anticipated Dates:

Our full season is April 1, 2025 through November 15, 2025. All positions are employment-at-will. Preference may be given to those available full season. However, those unable to work a full season are not necessarily automatically disqualified. Start and end dates may be flexible.

The maintenance lead position may be seasonal or year-round.

The Opportunities:

• Our front desk agents do this by greeting guests in an outgoing, friendly manner. Through effective interpersonal and communication skills, they answer questions and resolve concerns. They ensure guests have a pleasant check-in and check-out process. 

• Our maintenance lead does this by helping to supervise the day-to-day operations of the team and by completing work orders and preventative maintenance tasks. Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.

• Our dock master does this, managing the day-to-day operations of the dock, answering the fuel dock phone and dock radio, maintaining the cleanliness of the marina, monitoring the facility use and the safe storage of vessels, and assisting with the launching, hauling, and docking of vessels.

• Our laundry attendants provide exceptional service by washing, drying, and folding sheets and towels. They may assist in other areas of housekeeping as needed. 

Qualifications:

All of our team members are passionate about guest service and helping others. They love being a team player and are detail-oriented. They are able to work a flexible work week including nights, weekends, and holidays. In addition, our maintenance team ideally has experience in one or more of the above listed maintenance areas. Our front desk agents are proficient with computers and using software. Our dock master can lift 50 to 100 pounds. Our laundry attendants can lift up to 30 pounds and can climb stairs as needed.
