Come live and work in the beautiful Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming at a small, upscale guest ranch with approximately 25 guests per week in beautiful Shell, Wyoming. Work together with a great team of friendly and welcoming staff who do their very best to show our guests an amazing Western ranch vacation! Along with living on a spectacular guest ranch, your duties will be both challenging and rewarding.

The Job
The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch has positions available to help us serve in the dining room and help out in the kitchen. Some experience is preferred, however, our team is excited to train an enthusiastic applicant. Our guest ranch can be compared to a small boutique hotel or restaurant. We give very personalized service to our guests and create a positive environment in which to work and live. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to serving food and wine; setting up the dining room; and assisting in all areas of kitchen operations including prep work, cleaning, and dishes.

Age and Housing
Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and willing to live on the ranch. Very nice shared housing is provided as part of our seasonal employment package.  You may share a house with mixed roommates, but you will have your own bedroom with a shared bathroom. No pets are allowed.

Hours and Payment
Employees receive a monthly paycheck with the salary being established when a job offer is made based on your experience and background. A generous end-of-season bonus is paid upon successful completion of the terms of employment which will be working through the beginning of November.

Dates of Employment
This job runs through the beginning of November 2025. For the correct applicant, this position has the potential to be a multi-season position.

Conduct
The core of our culture is what we call The 3 C’s of Character, Conduct, and Competence. We can train someone for Competence, but the other two C’s (Character and Conduct) are inherent and tell a lot about a person based on how they behave and present themselves in all situations. Although we work hard, we also have a lot of fun. Our goal is to be the best. To help us achieve that goal, we try to pick the best staff possible and take care good of them. Being part of our team will enrich your life experiences and create memories for both you and the guests we serve.

The goal of our team is to make sure our guests have a fantastic time with positive lasting memories. We look for people who are willing to work hard; who operate equally well when working alone or as part of a team; who are honest, friendly, and enthusiastic, have a good sense of humor; who enjoy interacting with guests, and who get a great sense of satisfaction from providing excellent service to our guests. No drug use at all is allowed, and employees are subject to a random drug test on request by employers. No alcohol is to be consumed before or during workdays.
