The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world's lowest-elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year-round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

We’re hiring a Housekeeping Inspector to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

 Job Summary:
This position inspects all guest rooms daily to ensure cleanliness and assesses the condition according to established guidelines and standards set by the housekeeping manager.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-time, Year-round and Seasonal opportunities available
Start Dates: February 2025
Pay: $18.05/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Guest Room Attendants and Housepersons. Ensures maximum productivity and guest room/area cleanliness.

  • Inspects each checkout and stay-over room in the assigned section, and addresses concerns through coaching; communicates opportunities to the housekeeping manager.

  • Inspects all hallways and public areas as assigned, and addresses concerns through coaching; communicates opportunities to the housekeeping manager.

  • Inspects and restocks supply closets in assigned sections throughout the day and at the end of the shift. Communicates amenities par levels that need to be ordered.

  • Cleans guest rooms, public areas, administrative offices, and restrooms when necessary.

  • Other duties as assigned by housekeeping management.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months to 1 year of previous customer service experience.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

  • Must work independently.  

  • Must adhere to grooming standards.

  • Must adhere to all OSHA and company guidelines when using cleaning materials.

  • Must be available for AM and PM Inspector shifts.

  • Bilingual preferred.

Physical requirements:

  • Must lift 50 pounds.

  • Must bend, push, pull, kneel, lift, and stand for extended periods. 

  • Must work in extreme temperatures.
