The hotel maintenance worker is responsible for ensuring that the hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are functioning efficiently and safely. This role involves routine inspection, repair, and maintenance tasks, as well as responding to guest requests and emergencies to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify any potential issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on various hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Maintain and update maintenance logs and records.

Repairs:
Repair or replace broken equipment, fixtures, and furniture in guest rooms and public areas.
Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or toilet malfunctions.
Respond to electrical problems, including outages and faulty wiring.

Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to guest requests for maintenance or repairs.
Handle emergency situations such as water leaks, power outages, or security system failures.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other hotel departments (housekeeping, front desk, etc.) to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized maintenance work as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both guests and staff.
Keep storage areas and maintenance supplies organized and secure.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality environment.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Work Environment:
Maintenance workers often work in a variety of areas within the hotel, including guest rooms, maintenance shops, and outdoor spaces. The role may require lifting heavy objects, using tools and machinery, and working in various weather conditions.
