Walton's Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp

We are now accepting applications for the summer of 2025. 

Walton’s Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp hires responsible, enthusiastic individuals who want to spend their summer working as role models and mentors for children in a structured outdoor setting.

First year staff salary for the summer of 2025 is $650/week. Room, board and laundry is included. Bonus of $600 paid for those with current Life Guard Training. We also reimburse for taking and passing a Life Guard Training course. 

To be considered for employment, Camp Counselor applicants need to be available to work from June 2 through August 16.

Applicants are required to be at least 18 years old and graduated from high school prior to 2025.

If we wish to proceed further after reviewing your application and are not able to meet in person we will request that you submit a short Video Interview, take part in a one on one Zoom/FaceTime interview or join us for an online group interview. 

All application materials must be returned in a timely manner to be considered for employment. During the application process we look for individuals who take initiative, are able to follow through and show good attention to detail.

Before submitting your application check that the email addresses for your references are correct and current. Applicants who do not have all three references returned to us in a timely manner will not be considered for employment.

Immunizations required for CA schools are also required for camp attendance. In addition, COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are recommended.

First Aid Provider

Walton's Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp

Walton’s Grizzly Lodge Summer Camp is looking for a responsible, enthusiastic individual with an interest in health care to work as a First Aid Provider for the summer season.

Our healthcare team consists of two college-aged First Aid Providers who work alongside our experienced nursing staff, with supervision from our director team, to care for the health and well-being of our camp community. 

First year staff salary for the summer of 2025 is $650/week. Room, board and laundry is included. To be considered for employment, applicants need to be available to work from June 2 through August 16. Applicants are required to be at least 18 years old and graduated from high school prior to 2025.

Walton’s First Aid Providers get a specialized experience while also benefitting from the general camp environment. They live and work in our Health Center, which is located centrally and regularly participate in daily camp life. The health team eats meals with staff, participates in our nightly campfires, and has time-off with our counseling staff.

An ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with children and young adults 
• An interest in a health profession
• Ability to provide basic first aid, maintain records, and implement the camp’s health care plan
• Current CPR and first aid certifications (can be obtained after hire)
• Ability to work well with others 
• Enthusiasm, good character, integrity, patience, and adaptability
