Rafting Guides
Wilderness Aware Rafting is now accepting guide applications for both experienced and new guides for the 2025 summer river season. Previous rafting experience is not necessary. We provide all training needed to turn you into a high quality professional river guide.
Customer Service Representative
Wilderness Aware Rafting, est. in 1976, is a premier rafting outfitter. Prioritizing quality, safety, and fun, we strive to be the best in every way! Social Media Coordinator
Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms in order to promote rafting in Colorado and Arizona. Interact with users on social platforms, responding to inquiries, comments, and messages. Collaborate with marketing team to create and add new content to the program, in addition to developing a social media calendar. Maintain brand voice across platforms, further broadcasting Wilderness Aware's mission to create lifelong memories and exceed guest's expectations. Call 719-395-2112 for details on how to apply.
Video Boater / Safety Kayaker
Video boaters will perform as safety kayaker, and must have the ability to competently solo kayak Class II-V whitewater and perform river rescue. With experience in both videography and kayaking, a video boater is responsible for creatively documenting our guest's experiences on both land and whitewater. Trips in which a video boater will be present can range anywhere from half-day trips to overnight expeditions. Proficiency in video editing software is needed in order to create effective video presentations. Experience in photography is preferred, but not required. How to Apply
The hiring process involves filling out an online application, a short phone interview, and participation in a 5-day interview trip during the month of March. The interview trip typically takes place through Arizona’s Salt River Wilderness or Utah's Labyrinth Canyon on the Green River. The Salt River is one of the best whitewater rivers in the country. See photos of the Salt River. Our interview trip is offered at $400 for qualified candidates - a $600 savings over our regular commercial trip cost.
Applications will be accepted until March 1st. However, there are limited positions available on our interview trips so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
