- Assisting with barn activities including climbing wall, virtual reality, and bungee trampoline
- Provide insightful information to help better the guests experience at our property and in the Zion area, particularly through an extensive knowledge of Zion National Park hikes and recreational areas
- Assist guests in booking activities, utilize reservations systems
- Answer phones to provide help to guests with questions
- Ensure a high level of organization and cleanliness in your direct areas of work
- Maintain equipment and vehicles under the jurisdiction of EZA
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification
- Shuttle guests to several trailheads
- Defensive driving skills
- Guiding guests through off-road Jeep tours provided by East Zion Adventures
- Guiding- follow behind side by side tours. You will be responsible for teaching guests how to drive side by side and taking them on a tour where they follow you on a specific route.
- Guiding Angels Landing hikes, sunset hikes, and abandoned mine tour hikes.
- Guiding Paintball games and stargazing tours.
- Setting up Stargazing tour by prepping water, blankets, the drink counter, the vehicle, stargazing equipment, and yourself to ensure the best possible experience for guests and yourself
- Safely hiking or shuttling guests to the stargazing pad
- Sharing stories, facts, and experiences about the astronomy or astronomical mythology that coincide with the Three E’s
- Caring for and maintaining stargazing equipment such as the telescope to ensure it’s future use
- Must complete required training to guide solo
- Must be over 21 years old to drive resort vehicles with an active driver's license
- Must be able to perform activities in the sun for long periods of time during summer months
- Passion for hospitality, excellent service, and team success
- Experience in some areas of outdoor recreation with an emphasis on safety
- Experience or degrees in hospitality are great but not required to apply
- Have team attitude showing humility, hunger, and people smarts when working
- Hourly pay starting at $14-$15 an hour, plus gratuities/tips

- Stock station with necessary items, ensure par levels are maintained, and keep stations clean and organized
- Prep all meal and line items for meal period
- Provide highest quality and consistent cooking skills in all dishes prepared according to proper timelines and recipes given
- Prepare and present all meals according to standardized recipes and plates
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards in all preparation
- Report directly to the Head Chef

Working alongside a team of other canyon guides to provide excellent service to EZA guests using our proven process (being entertaining, educational, and emotional) alongside documented safety measures

Maintain and care for all equipment and canyons, follow consistent and documented routines of operation/safety/reactionary routines

Ensure safety in all canyons by following documented safety measures and best practices

Prepare and maintain a canyon log administered by the BLM

Provide ideas for new canyons and operations

Be proficient in all aspects of canyoneering in each of our guided canyons

Maintain the equipment, keep equipment safe for guests and guides to access

- Greet guests in a friendly and informative manner, answer all guests questions
- Have a thorough knowledge of the menu, ingredients, kitchen policies, and resort general information
- Up-sell menu items to guests
- Use POS systems to put in to go orders, ensure correct financial transactions
- Deliver plates in a quick and professional manner, ensure presentation and plating are consistent with restaurant standards
- Clear tables quickly and efficiently, sanitize properly, and reset tables
- Stock stations with necessary items, ensure par levels are maintained and keep stations clean and organized
- Maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards in all Front of House operations
- Ensure that all opening and closing duties are performed fully on a daily basis and that cleanliness and maintenance of buffet and other front of house items are maintained
- Determine guests needs and seat them accordingly, arrange tables and chairs as needed
- Working at other food outlets on property as needed
- Maintain coffee knowledge and able to communicate product information; educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
- Make and serve a selection of hot drinks including coffees and hot chocolates according to Ponderosa Eats standard
