Waitstaff for Luxury Western Resort, Deep in the Rocky Mountains
Currently recruiting for the season that runs from May 15th, 2024 to October 3rd, 2024.
The concept that “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” is tried and true and makes the position of housekeeping one of the most important jobs on the ranch. The first time a guest checks in at the lodge or walks into their room to unpack for their vacation, it is that first impression that will set the tone for their entire stay. It is not an easy job but it is the very core of success in the hospitality business.
Our housekeepers must have great attention to detail, good social skills, and enjoy working in a team environment. Responsibilities will include daily cleanliness of guest rooms, common areas, and all guest buildings, and evening turndown service. When guest room duties are finished, housekeepers will be expected to help in other areas of the ranch including keeping the grounds attractive, childcare, or other areas of need. Housing and meals are built into your contract, as well as an end of season performance bonus!

The 4UR Ranch
The 4UR Ranch in Creede, Colorado is looking for a Sous chef to start in early May. The 4UR Ranch has been around since the late 1870s; well known for its hot springs and the excellent fly fishing found at this beautiful mountain ranch. Rich in history, it has been listed on the National Register for Historic Places, an honor we are most proud of. While our history may be deep, we are always innovating and implementing new, exciting and unique ideas to offer our guests the most memorable vacation experience. One of the most important parts of that experience is food.
Every guest we see each summer steps into the dining room several times a day to refresh, refuel and immerse themselves in the culinary journey our kitchen staff has prepared that day. Our executive chef, Blake Bond, is looking for members to join his team in providing the best dining experience possible.
The menus at the 4UR rotate daily throughout the week and provide both the guests and the kitchen staff an exciting experience. Since freshness is pivotal, the menu and the items on it will change as the summer shift into August and then early fall. Inside the dining room, sample dinner menu items are as follows:
-Rare Seared Ahi Tuna with bok choy, pickled vegetables, chile, miso-ginger vinaigrette.
-Roasted Chicken with farro, castelvetrano olives, capers, zucchini, pan jus.
-Espresso Rubbed Tenderloin of Beef with buttermilk potato puree, roasted broccolini, espresso demi.
Further, there are unique dining days where, for example, guests will ride several miles up the Goose Creek valley to a clearing. There they will hitch horses and enjoy wine, cheese, and horderves in a large pavilion as the sunsets. Once dinner is ready, guests will meet Chef Blake by the grill where he has prepared ribeyes, and salmon complimented by sides ranging from a quinoa salad, roasted brussel sprouts, garlic dill potatoes, sauteed asparagus and much more.
