Aquatics
Waterfront Counselor
We offer all sorts of water sport activities on our lake including waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, paddle boarding, and free swim! 
Waterfront counselors are hired to teach campers within their respective area while also supervising and maintaining safety on the lake. 
The lake is one of the best spots to work at camp for anyone who loves being outdoors and on the water!

Ropes Course Director
$2,000.00 / month
The Ropes Course Director at Camp Micah oversees all ropes course activities and ensures appropriate instruction in conjunction with the Micah Philosophy. Our course is equipped with both high and low elements, a climbing wall, and an aqua zip line. The Ropes Course Director supervises, evaluates, and gives feed back to all ropes course staff throughout the summer. Camp Micah is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, hard working person with a passion for making outdoor adventure fun and exciting for youth.

Fitness & Weight training Counselor
Responsibilities as a Fitness Instructor:
• Lead fitness classes for campers of ages 13-15 years old
• Develop curriculum for classes
• Educate campers about proper health and fitness
• Being an appropriate role model for campers, ensuring their physical and emotional safety

Outdoor Adventure
Hiking Counselor
We offer hiking trips for campers all over Maine and New Hampshire. Most of our hikes are day trips, but we offer a few overnight trips each summer to Acadia National Park, Mt. Katahdin, whitewater rafting, and canoeing on the Saco River!
Hiking counselors are responsible for leading these trips for campers throughout the summer. Counselors must be over 21 years old and have a valid drivers license in order to drive our vans for the trips. Our trips involve swimming at lakes, rivers, and waterfalls so we prefer candidates with a lifeguard certification.

Swim Instructor
We offer a Red Cross swim program for our campers in a heated pool. Swim Instructors are hired to teach swim lessons under Red Cross standards. We also offer free swim in our pool where counselors are responsible for the supervision and safety of the campers. 
Lifeguard Certification and WSI are required.

Creative Arts
Art Counselor
At Micah, we offer a general art & crafts program as well as some specialized art programs which include woodworking, metalsmithing, ceramics, and studio art. 
In each respective area, counselors are responsible for teaching campers and designing different projects throughout the summer that would meet the abilities of our various age groups.
The specialized programs are for people with a specific passion for those art forms, whereas the arts & crafts program is for those who have a general love for art and want more flexibility with potential projects.

Ninja Warrior Counselor
Camp Micah was one of the first camps in the country to build a Ninja Warrior course on site. It quickly became one of the most popular activities in camp for kids to not only work on physical fitness, but build resilience! 
We train counselors to facilitate the course and obstacles, so candidates do not need any experience with Ninja Warrior. Those with interest in personal training, gymnastics, or any athlete can succeed as a Ninja Warrior counselor as long as they are enthusiastic, fun, and safe!

Athletics Counselor
Athletics Counselors are hired to teach a specific sport during the summer. We offer archery, baseball, basketball, fencing, football, gymnastics, lacrosse, ninja warrior, skateboarding, soccer street hockey, tennis, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and more!
Athletics counselors are responsible for building a program that meets the physical skill and abilities of our campers (ages 7 - 15) while making it fun too! Counselors will also have the opportunity to coach teams in games or tournaments competing against other camps.
