Outdoor Education in beautiful Southern California!

ECOS Institute is dedicated to helping students engage the natural world in the unique, exciting setting of the San Bernardino Mountains. Instructors act as both teacher/naturalists and counselors as they facilitate 3, 4, and 5-day programs that highlight science curriculum, environmental education, exploration of local ecosystems, and social growth.

ECOS Institute operates out of multiple locations in the San Bernardino Mountains, near the towns of Green Valley Lake and Running Springs. ECOS staff enjoy living and working in the mountains during the program week, and have ample opportunities to explore the beaches, deserts, and cities of Southern California on weekends and holidays!
