Mill Creek Resort

Built in the early 1930's Mill Creek Resort is the gem of Mt. Lassen, the southernmost peak of the Cascade Range. Many have come before us to enjoy the remote and tranquil peace that can be found in our forest and we feel unbelievably privileged to be sharing in that tradition. Situated 12 miles from the South entrance of Lassen Volcano National Park in Northern California our property offers large doses of nature & freedom to explore & relax. Mill Creek flows on the southern side of our property and is a pristine California waterway home to native trout (Rainbow, Brown, Brook), river otters, and the elusive California Mountain Beaver... The fishing is superb and the swimming holes are refreshing.

In Lassen National Park alone there are 150 miles of hiking trails through diverse landscapes featuring active geothermal gurgling mud pots, steaming fumaroles, and hissing steam vents!  Walkable from our property there are countless trails to explore on foot, bike, or ATV in the heart of an old-growth national forest. We're located a short 24 miles from Lake Almanor, the largest of thousands in the area, which offers paddle boarding, kayaking & boat rentals. So yeah, our backyard is pretty awesome!

The land that we steward is 12 acres of mixed coniferous forest comprised of oaks, pines, firs and cedars, some over 400 years old. We cater to all types of adventurers who come to explore Lassen & it's magic. Our property features nine rustic themed cabins, a secluded campground & an RV park featuring a 70's vintage trailer to "glamp" in for the night.  The main lodge features a small American style restaurant that sources local ingredients & serves healthy options, five local beers on tap and a spacious deck overlooking the meadow. 

We are a young & ambitious husband & wife team passionate about the outdoors & the power it has to impact & enlighten those who seek its wisdom. In our four years of ownership, we've seen an exciting cultural shift towards the return to the outdoors and natural places. Each year to heighten the experience of our guests we've improved cabin accommodations, hosted special events like star gazing dinners, movie nights in the meadow, and group campfires. Each new season offers the opportunity to expand & elevate the experience of Mill Creek Resort. We're looking to build a team of superhumans who share our passion to connect on a truly genuine level, make lifelong friendships, and help each other be nourished and grow as individuals.
