Mountain Village Resort is a family & locally owned company. We operate a Lodge, The Stanley Outpost, Restaurant, Saloon, Dance Hall, Mercantile, Gas & Service Station. We are open year-round. Beautiful Stanley, Idaho the gateway to the Sawtooth Mountains, Frank Church Wilderness Area and the White Cloud Wilderness area and of course rafting adventures on the Main Salmon River as well as the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. There are over 300 plus high alpine lakes in the Sawtooth National Recreation area and hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails.

Mountain Village Resort is family owned and operated that is nestled in the beautiful Sawtooth Valley surrounded by the jagged peaks looming in the distance. Our business consists of a 61 room Lodge, RV Parking, Restaurant, Saloon, Mercantile, Gas Station and Service Station. Mountain Village is the only business that is open year around in Stanley so the opportunities are many.
The Employee Experience
Come to Stanley to work hard and play hard in one of the most beautiful and incredible places you can find on earth. There are endless opportunities to fulfill your outdoor fix whether it be hiking, biking backpacking, getting on the river or swimming in our lakes. Stanley is a very small and busy town during the summer with an active nightlife scene with numerous eateries and saloons to visit. Street dances take place weekly throughout the summer where locals and tourists alike join for an evening of music, fun and good times. With our peak season being Memorial Day throughout Labor employees are usually scheduled two days off. Any extended days off are not allowed during this period. The work timeframe you initially committed to is also expected to be fulfilled. You will have opportunity to meet people from all walks of life and countries from around the world while having the time of your life building friendships that will last a lifetime.

Room and Board
Limited housing is provided at a discount rate to Mountain Village Resort employees allowing you to save more money throughout the summer. All housing is within walking distance to the Mercantile, Hotel, Gas Station and the Restaurant and Saloon. Our housing consists of a variety of studio apartments and one-bedroom apartments along with a number of shared housing units that offer private bedrooms with shared common areas. We believe it is important for everyone to have their own private space after a long day at work to decompress and relax. Firepit and BBQ grills are available at some of the housing units along with laundry facilities either in your unit or in our employee laundromat. Rent and utilities are deducted from employee's paychecks bi-weekly.
Employee Perks
Mountain Village Resort offers employee discounts in our mercantile being 20% off groceries, gas station is .20 off a gallon of fuel, and our restaurant which has a 30% discount on all food and non-alcoholic beverages. An employee shift meal is offered to all restaurant and bar staff with some menu item limitations. Enjoy the stunning views from our private natural hot springs on the premises, reserved for guests and employees only. Full time employees are offered health, life & vision insurance as well as a very discounted rate for St Lukes Flight for life. Vacation time is accrued after one full year of employment.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Stanley is a remote town in the Mountains. Public transportation is not available. Mountain Village Resort is the main business in town and provides a majority of the necessities needed and is a walking distance from "downtown", which consists of a health clinic, small retail shops, restaurants, bars, public library and post office. Walking and Biking is an option if you don't have your own transportation.

For Fun
Stanley is the outdoor enthusiast's dream! Hiking, biking, white water rafting, boating, fishing, camping and exploring the beauty of the surroundings are common activities. After a long day of honest hard work, enjoy the satisfaction of jumping or casting a line into one of our many rivers or lakes. Short hikes, overnight camping and backpacking as well boating on the lakes for your days off. Horseback trips are also available here in Stanley. Don't forget a bag to forage for mushrooms. Stanley is also one of only a few Dark Sky Preserves in the world and is star gazer's paradise.
Town offers a street dance during summer months to "kick up some dirt" and meet some new friends. Along with the street dance there is the Sawtooth Gathering that lasts a weekend with numerous bands playing here at Mountain Village as well as at the Sawtooth Gatherings offsite location. Other nighttime entertainment can also be found relaxing around the fire, gazing at the stars and just enjoying chatting friends. For the 21 and over, the Saloon at Mountain Village frequently has live music in our dance hall along with free pool, foosball and darts. Festivals of all types occur throughout the summer and fall in Stanley.
