Housekeeper
Responsible for cleaning our rentals when guests check out. Cleaning involves (but not limited to): stripping/remaking beds, emptying trash, laundering/folding sheets and towels, washing dishes, cleaning/dusting/wiping down surface areas, and vacuuming. You are also responsible for keeping the laundry room neat and cleaning all common areas including hallways and stairs.
Property Manager/Housekeeper
Sauerdough Lodging is a small 6-unit lodge in downtown Seward. We are hiring an on-site property manager/housekeeper for our summer season, which runs approximately mid-April to mid-late September.
Housing consists of a private room on-site. Rent is included in compensation, however you will be charged a refundable security deposit.
Company vehicle is available, so all applicants must have a valid driver's license.
Duties would include the following:
Customer service with guests: facilitating guest arrivals and departures, pre-arrival communication, luggage storage, helping with any issues that may arise.
For the lodge: must keep up to date with current promotions and daily pricing, in order to provide accurate information to guests and potential guests. Marketing and social media skills a plus. Manage and maintain the administration of all reservations, cancellations and no-shows per company policy.
Must be available 24/7 for guest needs- most communication is via app, but some may be by phone and in-person. Ensure these are covered on days off.
Housekeeping/cleaning: Responsible for cleaning our rentals when guests check out. Ensure all rooms are throughly inspected at the end of all shifts. Also responsible for keeping the laundry room neat and cleaning all common areas including hallways and stairs on first and second levels.
Inventory: Make sure lodging is stocked with supplies and make store runs or orders as needed. Reconcile loss. Document damages with photos and report to owners.
Property oversight: This position is responsible for coordinating any maintenance issues as they arise and for keeping the properties in good repair. Lawncare is needed at one of the properties. (mowing a small yard and edging)
This position is also responsible for overseeing the employee housing section on the first floor. Responsibilities here would include enforcing a rotating cleaning schedule of common areas, enforcing noise limits and our strict no-smoking policy, and solving conflicts if they arise.
Evacuation/security: In cases of emergency, act as the first point of contact for all tenants and guests and emergency services. Report any security issues to owners immediately
