CDL Drivers for Tours and Shuttle Transportation
Seasonal Job Begins April 18th through October 15th, 2025

ALL DRIVERS WILL PROVIDE SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION AND DRIVE TOURS
1. Shuttle Transportation
When driving shuttles, your main focus will be providing safe, on-time transportation for cruise ship passengers. As the first point of contact for many visitors, delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly, positive attitude is essential. Our drivers play a key role in creating memorable experiences and making guests feel welcome from the very start.
2. Driving Tours
As a Tour Driver, your primary responsibility is to create memorable experiences for guests in a safe and professional manner. You’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by transporting visitors safely through breathtaking landscapes while providing engaging, informative, and entertaining tours. You’ll meet people from all over the world each day, so building connections and creating unforgettable moments is an essential part of the role.
This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safe driving practices, and the ability to make quick, sound decisions when needed.
Beyond driving, you’ll assist the team as necessary—whether that’s helping at the tour desk or representing the company at the dock. Duties may include welcoming cruise passengers, assisting with logistics, answering questions, and ensuring a seamless transition from ship to shore.
Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age
Minimum Class C CDL
Passenger Endorsement
Current Medical Card
Valid Passport Required
Must be able to enter Canada
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) in Skagway
Requirements:
Commitment to Safe Driving Practices: Always prioritize passenger and vehicle safety by following all traffic laws and protocols.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of passengers and communicate tour narratives confidently.
Customer Service Orientation: Exhibit patience, professionalism, and a positive attitude to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust schedules and routes as needed in response to weather, delays, or operational changes.
Physical Stamina: Must be able to handle the physical demands of varying terrain and weather conditions while driving and working outdoors.
Tour Guide Experience: Experience as a tour guide or in a similar role is preferred but not required. A passion for storytelling and educating others is essential.
Responsibilities:
Drive Tours and Shuttle Transportation: Operate vehicles safely for scenic tours and provide on-time shuttle services for passengers arriving at or departing from cruise ships.
Deliver Informative Commentary: Share engaging, fun, and accurate information about Skagway’s history, landmarks, and culture.
Assist with Mobility Challenged Guests: Ensure guests with mobility challenges or other special needs have access and assistance during transport.
Customer Service Duties: Represent the company professionally by answering questions, assisting with logistics, and ensuring that guests feel welcomed.
Act as a Dock Representative: Welcome cruise passengers as they arrive, help facilitate smooth transitions from ship to shore, and answer questions about tours and services.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are clean, inspected, and operating properly before each shift.
Respond to Emergencies: Quickly assess situations, make sound decisions, and resolve problems that may arise during tours, such as weather changes or passenger needs.
Collaborate with Team Members: Work with dispatch, logistics, and other team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
