    Culinary

    Breakfast & Line Cook

    $20.00 - $22.00 / hour + tips
    Greenville

    The ideal Breakfast & Line Cook will be a team player, reliable, and can follow directions and recipes under the guidance of an Executive Chef/Owner.

    Must have breakfast and pastry experience. This position is perfect for those wanting to hone their craft, who have great attention to detail, and who want to provide an elevated dining experience. 

    Responsible for breakfast service for in-house guests 5 days a week, prep for a small lunch menu, and cooking during dinner events several times per month with Chef and Guest Chefs.

    Those who have recently graduated from a culinary program are encouraged to apply.

    This is a full time seasonal position beginning May 15-October 30.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations.
    • Cooking breakfast, plating dishes according to lodge standards.
    • Prep and cooking for Chef's Tasting Dinners & guest chef dinners. 
    • Ability to follow recipes and utilize in stock ingredients as well as work independently.
    • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
    • Plating prepared foods based on Executive Chef’s guidance.
    • Working with servers to ensure that food orders are completed according to request and on time.
    • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
    • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
    • Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
    • Ensuring restaurant/lodge goals and SOP’s are maintained.
    • Ability to follow directions and recipes.

    REPORTS TO:

    • Owners/GM

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associate degree in culinary arts or 3 years relevant experience as a line cook.
    • Must have excellent food preparation, knife and cooking skills.
    • Must have exemplary kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Must know the different methods of chopping vegetables, dividing meat, basic sauces, and combining salads, herbs and spices, along with how to portion dishes and work with precision to bring recipes to life.
    • Experience as line cook. 
    • Must have pastry/bread making experience as well as elevated breakfast cook experience. 
    • Must know the safe and proper methods of operating different kitchen appliances and utensils.
    • Must have serv-safe food manager and alcohol certification or be willing to obtain.
    • Exemplary plating experience of 5 star restaurants or the ability to learn plating skills.

    Guest Services

    Concierge

    $18.00 - $20.00 / hour + tips
    Greenville

    We are seeking a team player to provide concierge services to our discerning guests. In this role you are the direct face of The Lodge at Moosehead Lake and will be assisting guests in planning the ultimate vacation in the Moosehead Lake region.

    Some of your duties will be assisting with lodging, dining, and adventure scheduling as well as helping guests schedule special events. You will also be responsible for checking guests into and out of the lodge and at dinner service and surveying satisfaction upon their departure. 

    Season: May-October.

    Hours: 40 per week.

    Reports to: Owners and General Manager.

    Housing: Shared housing available for nominal fee.

    Responsibilities for Guest Services

    • Return phone and email inquiries from potential guests in a timely and respectful manner.
    • Make guest lodging and dining reservations.
    • Inspects rooms and readies them for guest arrivals. 
    • Assists with room refreshes/guest needs. 
    • Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcome and attended.
    • Offer restaurant and activity recommendations and assist guests in arranging adventures, add-ons, and activities.
    • Act as a liaison between guests and any department necessary including the owners, GM, kitchen, housekeeping, etc.
    • Anticipates guests needs to accommodate them and provide an exceptional guest experience.
    • Plans afternoon activities for in house guests.
    • Reaches out to incoming lodging guests prior to arrival and offers concierge services and add-on amenities.
    • Contacts and makes connections with local businesses to schedule activities for guests.
    • Assists with afternoon cocktails and guest activities such as board or yard games.

    Qualifications for Guest Services

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, guest relations, or similar field or 3+ years of previous customer service experience preferred.
    • Positive phone demeanor and superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to use lodging and dining reservation system.
    • Ability to craft emails and itineraries for guests.
    • Ability to liaison and research local businesses and opportunities for collaboration.
    • Must have a service-oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
    • Knowledge of basic office equipment, including printers, scanners, copiers, etc.
    • Exemplify strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to prepare reports for management meetings in each.
    • Possess a positive attitude and be willing to work as part of a team.
    • Ability to prepare reports and participate in meetings as necessary.
    Housekeeping

    Housekeeper

    $17.00 - $20.00 / hour + tips
    Greenville

    The idea candidate will be a team player, reliable, and can follow directions. Experienced Housekeepers will have the ability to complete cleaning to our high standards and Select Registry requirements.

    This is a Full-time seasonal position beginning May 15-October 30.

    *We are unable to host H2B sponsorship for this position.

    DUTIES:

    • Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
    • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
    • Cleaning and stocking guest rooms.
    • Cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment.
    • Notifying managers of necessary repairs.
    • Collecting and disposing of trash.
    •  Assists with breakfast service for lodging guests. 
    • Helps clean the kitchen according to health code requirements.
    • Assisting guests when necessary.
    • Keeping the linen rooms stocked.
    • Clean and maintain laundry.

    HOUSEKEEPER REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma.
    • Works well unsupervised.
    • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and work quickly.
    • Bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time.
    • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning.
    • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
    • Prior experience with housekeeping in a luxury setting.
    • Ability to maintain a standard of performance and quality with work.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Friendly and helpful approach with customer-oriented attitude.
    • Good command over language, multilingual is a bonus.
    • Excellent sense of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Highschool diploma or equivalent.

    Culinary

    Dishwasher

    $16.00 - $18.00 / hour + tips
    Greenville

    We are unable to hire H2B workers for this position.

    This position requires both AM dishes for breakfast and PM dishes for restaurant. Full training provided. Housing is NOT available for this position and it is best suited for local persons who have housing in place. 

    DUTIES:

    • Wash dishes for breakfast service for busy 9 suite bed and breakfast.
    • Wash dishes for 30 seat restaurant open to lodging guests and the public on occasion.
    • Ability to keep up with dish accumulation.
    • Ability to learn sanitizing system for dishwashing.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to keep pace with dishes from dining guests and kitchen. 

    RATE/BENEFITS:

    • 25 hours per week.
