- Teaching and guiding fly-fishing to guests
- Teaching gun safety and running trap shooting
- Teaching bow safety and archery
- Caring for ranch grounds: i.e. mowing, trimming, spraying & watering
- Clean and maintain barn area, corrals, arena, and trails
- Move hay, seed & harvest barley fodder daily to feed to horses
- Assist with other guest activities: boating, hiking or any other guest need that arises with a smile on your face.
- Maintain equipment, fix broken equipment, and be safety conscious
- Fence building or repair
- Willing to perform other duties such as driving the van, yard work, trash removal, painting, dishwashing, etc. when needed

Wrangler/Packer
The Wrangler staff is responsible for the education, safety, and enjoyment of our guest riding program and the care of our horses and livestock. This position requires a motivated, honest, and flexible individual with great customer service skills who can work productively with or without supervision and will act immediately as circumstances arise. saddling up to 40 horses a day; therefore, must be in good physical health with the ability to lift at least 6 lbs. Horse experience with knowledge of basic vet care, shoeing, horse training, and general use of tools and repair is required. The Wrangler/Packer/Hunting Guide is responsible for being a Ranch Wrangler most weeks throughout the summer season, but be flexible and happy to switch over and pack mules for the ranch during our Wilderness pack trips, multiple hay/supply runs, and during our backcountry elk hunting season. Individual MUST HAVE experience with packing to be considered. Wrangler/Packer must present a neat, clean appearance with western-style dress of cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and collared shirts. Must bring your saddle and RIDE FOR THE BRAND. Must be able to work May 12 through November.
Breakfast Cook/Baker
The Breakfast Cook/Baker is responsible for daily staff and guest breakfast. Duties also include food prepping alongside the head cook and preparing daily baked goods. Strong, conscientious work ethic and positive attitude are required. Extensive baking and general cooking experience preferred.
Individual must be flexible, organized, able to plan and manage, and able to work well with others in a high-paced environment. The kitchen staff must collaborate, plan, and get along VERY well as they work in a close environment. Must be able to interact with guests in a friendly and social manner and be able to lift 30 lbs. and stand on feet for up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to work mid May to October 10.
Nanny
Nanny duties include taking care of the ranch manager Hayley & Trey’s two toddlers who are 1.5 and 3 years old. This position requires an individual who works well independently and has lots of experience with small children and babies. Duties include games, crafts, lots of play-time both inside and outside, helping feed and clean up during snack and mealtime, changing diapers, helping with potty training, nap time, etc. Individual must pass a background check. Must be able to work from May 12 through September.
Fly Fishing Guide/Ranch Hand
This is a combined position that requires a motivated individual in good physical health who will have a lot of interaction with both guests and other staff. Must have good knowledge and experience of fly-fishing, teaching gun and bow safety to teach and guide guests.
In addition to guiding fishing and other activities, employee will be working with tools and equipment for general ranch repair & upkeep so needs to be safety conscious and able to work productively without supervision. Employee will drive guests in the van; therefore, must have a clean driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeper/Server
This position works in both housekeeping and the kitchen. Housekeeping duties include cleaning the lodge and guest cabins & occasional yard work. Also assists with table setting, serving guests, washing dishes, helping to keep the kitchen clean and organized. It requires someone who is in good physical health, flexible, and able to work productively with or without supervision. There will be a lot of interaction with both guests and other staff. We look for mature, outgoing staff who have a ready smile, are willing to work hard, have fun, and love the outdoors and people.
As with most dude ranches, we compensate in several ways. You will receive full room and board, a monthly salary, gratuities, and the opportunity to work and play in a spectacular setting.
Kid's Wrangler
The Kid's Wranglers are responsible for a structured children’s horse program for the young children and teens who come with their families to the Ranch. We prefer an individual with a strong background in early childhood development or elementary education, as well as many years of horse experience. A love of children and the patience to deal with them on a very personal basis is required. This person must be someone who can organize horse activities for children and be out-going, energetic, creative, and positive. When there are no children at the Ranch, this person helps wherever needed.
This position also requires help with serving and clearing tables after meals. After the guests leave on Saturdays, all ranch staff cleans up the Ranch, from the cabins to the barn. Other responsibilities may include yard work, painting, help with horseback rides, etc. It is essential that our staff are flexible, and that we all work together as a team to get the job done, regardless of job title.
Other duties at the barn might include gathering, feeding, saddling, and preparing horses for rides; caring for sick and injured horses; maintaining and cleaning tack, ensuring that all is safe and in good working order, repairing as needed; cleaning and maintaining barn area, corrals, arena, trails and ranch grounds; assist in weekly gymkhana games, assist with ranch entertainment, and have a great sense of humor!
Ranch Wrangler
The Wrangler staff is responsible for the education, safety, and enjoyment of our guest riding program and care of our horses and livestock. Wranglers saddle up to 30 horses a day; therefore, must be in good physical health with the ability to lift at least 60 lbs. Horse experience with knowledge of basic vet care, shoeing, horse training, and general use of tools and repair is required. Wranglers present a neat, clean appearance with a western-style dress of cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and collared shirts. Must bring your saddle and RIDE FOR THE BRAND.
