The Triple J offers all-inclusive ranch vacations: outstanding riding, trout fishing, and hiking with western hospitality and gracious service. Fantastic kid’s program. Relaxing adult weeks. Wilderness pack-trips. A true Montana experience.

Located in the scenic corridor between Yellowstone & Glacier National Park with the famous Bob Marshall Wilderness out our back door, the Triple J has an end of the road location in Montana's Rockies.

About Triple J Wilderness Ranch

Are you looking for a job where you can inspire others and make an impact?

Our employees are important to us and become part of the family. We strive for excellence and the best service in the industry, so we look for employees with the same qualities. If you are a self-proclaimed slacker, stop reading now. However, if you are a self-motivated, high-energy, problem-solving person with a passion for the outdoors and people, we would love to hear from you!

We average around 20 guests per week. This smaller size allows us to give each guest special attention. Guests often say that this was the best vacation they have ever had, and it is our goal that this is true for every guest. To ensure that goal, we seek employees who are mature, outgoing individuals with an excellent work ethic, good moral character, and communication skills. We expect a ready smile, willingness to work hard and have fun, integrity, and a love of the outdoors and people.

The Employee Experience

Working at a guest ranch can be hard work, but it’s also a lot of fun.  You’ll meet new people from all over the world and see beautiful, pristine country.  During your time off, you can ride, fish, hike and explore the surrounding area.  A ranch job is not for everyone, but it is a job that will have many lasting friendships and memories.

Ideal Candidate

We look for like-minded individuals who will help us provide a warm, caring, safe stress-free environment for the guests that we serve. This requires a customer service-oriented individual with integrity, physical stamina, and a “can-do” team player attitude. A ranch job is not 9 to 5 and staff live on the property in a rural setting. Must be 18 years old with valid work documentation. Sorry, no pets.

Room and Board

Room and board is provided to each employee at no cost. Male employees room together in the Cowboy’s Bunkhouse, and female staff room together in the Cowgirl's Bunkhouse. We do not have housing for couples or families. Bathrooms are also shared between staff. The ranch provides linens and towels at no extra cost. Breakfast is served in the staff area, with lunch and dinner taken with guests or in kitchen.

Employee Perks

As with most dude ranches, we compensate you in several ways. You will receive full room and board, monthly salary, and gratuities. Meals and housing are provided at no cost. Working and living together on a 24 hour basis is not always easy and requires that certain policies be observed out of respect for other employees and our family.

We require that all of our staff is current with First Aid and CPR (Basic Life Saving for Adults and Children).

Getting Here and Getting Around

You must have your own vehicle to get on and off the ranch, as imposing your transportation needs on other staff members or the ranch does not work.  We are 25 miles (45 minutes) from the small town of Augusta, and 2 hours from Great Falls or Helena.

For Fun

During your time off you can ride, fish, hike, and explore the surrounding area. You’ll build friendships with other staff and can explore Montana's varied landscapes, and small towns. We're a 2-hour drive to Glacier Park or 5 hours from Yellowstone. The area around Augusta on the Rocky Mountain Front has unlimited outdoor opportunities. Check out visitmt.com for local events, maps, and other points of interest.

How to Apply

Please find current job listings on our website, triplejranch.com. You may also email jobs@triplejranch.com and we'll send an application and job description. We receive many requests for employment, especially to work with horses, so if interested in joining our team, please be specific in your email request about which positions you are interested in and your qualifications and experience for that position. We also require a video of your horsemanship if you are applying to be a Wrangler.

We hire employees who can work from early to mid May through August 21. If you must leave before August 21, please do not apply!  Our ranch season runs through September so there are some positions that we will only hire employees that can stay through the entire season, departing late September.
