OE Camp Counselors
Spring Season = Jan 6th to May 16th
Supervise participants on camp and teach/lead Outdoor Education and/or recreation programming such as survival skills, engineering, aerodynamics, the science of pasta making, archery, rock wall, field games and arts and crafts. Counselors will participate in evening programs such as Campfire, Karaoke, Observatory/Stargazing, night hikes, and will perform skits and sing camp songs throughout the week. They will be in-cabin overnight with up to 16 children 2-4 nights a week. Outdoor Education is a weekly program and runs from Mondays to Fridays. Staff will have the weekend off and various time off during the week. 
Counselors will keep an open line of communication about the camper's and program needs. Counselors will maintain a positive role model outlook, and attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required. Camp Counselors will also help out our weekend Groups and Retreat program 2 days a season. Additional work opportunities are also available.
