Glacier National Park is surrounded by endless majestic mountains to view and encounter. Sparkling lakes are enjoyed by many who fish and raft. There are hundreds of hiking trails where people can enjoy viewing eagles, bighorn sheep, elk and mountain goats among other wild life.

Glacier National Park was established in 1910. Guests, visitors, and employees take advantage of exploring stunning mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and glaciers. Immersed in the landscape are historic lodges and Red Buses with drivers known as "jammers".  Experience seeing a bear, bald eagle, and moose in one single adventure.

The Employee Experience

Spend the summer of a lifetime working at one of these historic lodges deep within Glacier's wilderness. Opportunities exist at Lake McDonald Lodge, Many Glacier Hotel, Rising Sun Motor Inn, Village Inn, and Two Medicine Camp Store.

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have a passion to provide exceptional guest service and adoration for the great outdoors!

People who possess a strong work ethic, love guest service, and meeting people from all over the world will flourish with Xanterra. Our employees have a sense of responsibility to self and others, and embrace adventure with everyday activities. 

Room and Board

We offer dormitory-style rooms, shared cabins, and RV sites.

Most often, employees live in rustic, dormitory-style accommodations with shared restrooms and shower facilities at their designated worksite. Rooms are generally equipped with single-sized beds (or bunk beds), a small dresser, and a small closet space. All employees share a room with at least 1 roommate. Pets and non-employees are not permitted in company lodging. Meals & Lodging cost $15.74/day and include three meals per day at the Employee Dining Room (EDR), laundry, shuttle service, limited Wi-Fi, and is payroll deducted.

Off-site RV sites (with full hook-ups) may also be available at a cost of $12.25/day. This includes free laundry, shuttle service, limited Wi-Fi, and is payroll deducted.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Applicants are responsible for their own transportation to Glacier. A personal vehicle is not necessary, though helpful to access the Park and surrounding areas on days off.

  • Free arrival and departure shuttles from local pick-up points

  • Free Glacier National Park Hiker Shuttle

For Fun

Employees will have access to over 700 miles of maintained hiking trails in Glacier National Park, white-water rafting, boat tours, camping, cycling, horseback riding, and fishing.

Photographers will be able to capture pristine and beautiful landscapes.

Those interested in wildlife will view dozens of animals in their natural habitats.

Employees will live and work with people from across the United States, Europe and Asia.

Employees will have access to Employee Recreation Rooms that have a variety of games and activities at their disposal, including pool tables, board games, ping pong, cards, books, and satellite TV.
